The children today are hooked on to TV or computer games and they are turning obese. The activities as sports are all absent in them. The advent of computer games has taken out all the thrill of actual sports in children. They can sit in front of their computer and play tennis, cricket etc. However, in actual they have become so lethargic that to get them out and play is a task for parents.
The school plays a vital role in getting the children out and encourages them to take up some sports or any physical activities. In the end it is beneficial to them as they will be more active and will remain healthy all their lives.
The children at any age should be encouraged to have some physical activity or take up some sport, which will make them active and strong.
The internet and the Television has made the matters worst as they get all the thrills by staying indoors, by playing the same games on the net or computer without lifting a hand, but as a parent it is your duty to motivate your children to take up some physical activity or sports. The activity need not be very strenuous but light exercises or just playing games with friends.
The sports can also teach children team spirit and being competitive. This will help them in future while at work. To suit your child, you should first let them try few activities, like Tennis or Basketball. Once they start going out they will also learn how to behave with people, and to be in a team.
If you want your child to stay fit, healthy, and away from the diseases, enroll them for some physical activity or sport. They also get a chance to meet so many different types of people and can make friends.
When they grow up, they will thank you for starting them in the sports as one day they might become the champions.
So, if you love your children, no matter what their age, start them with some sports which they will enjoy and will get a chance to stay outdoors in the open air.
